Boise's tech industry is booming.
So much so that industry workers have been fleeing western tech hubs, like San Francisco and Seattle, to find innovative careers in Treasure Valley.
But, how can a small city like Boise compete among some of the most prosperous tech cities in the United States?
The simple answer is quality of life.
Along with the city's incredible variety of career opportunities, Boise offers great dining and shopping experiences, as well as its natural landscapes and scenic parks. And a slice of this can be yours for a reasonable price.
With a median home price in the 300,000s, Boise real estate attracts tons of young professionals because of its affordability and charm.

BoiseDev first broke the news that Trader Joe’s would open its second Idaho location in Meridian and it’s officially open! Trader Joe’s will take up a portion of the large former Rosaeurs store, located at 2986 N. Eagle Road, Meridian, ID 83646 and is keeping with its usual smaller footprint. The Meridian store measures 16,744 square feet according to permit records with the City of Meridian. That measures about 3,000 square feet larger than the Boise location and will offer a much better parking situation than the downtown location.
This is good news for Treasure Valley homeowners, as ATTOM Data Solutions examined the impact grocery stores have on the housing market and reported, “Homes near a Trader Joe’s realized an average home seller ROI of…

While Boise doesn’t have the most dog parks in the nation, it does lead the pack with the highest number of dog parks per capita: 6.7 dog parks per 100,000 residents, edging out the second-place cities of Portland, Oregon and Henderson, Nevada.
Boise City Council President Lauren McLean states, “Boise is awash in parks and trails for people, and I think dogs have it pretty good here in our fair city, too. As the…

Summer is on its sun-soaked path into autumn, and it’s time to start thinking about all of the things that the new season brings; back to school for the kids, Labor Day cookouts, enjoying coffee on your porch swing in the crisp morning air, watching the leaves turn an array of vibrant colors, and changing your summer décor to something cozier. There's nothing more inviting than a sofa or a bed layered with textured accents, like soft pillows and big, chunky blankets. Whether or not you’re on team pumpkin spice, it is said that the crisp air of Autumn both soothes and warms the soul. Implementing this year’s trend of wood mixed with your favorite warm or cool colors can be the perfect recipe for your home this fall.
